OPENING NIGHT FILM | BOYS STATE
Directed by Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine
For one night only, on Tuesday, June 23, the Nantucket Film Festival will present the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning documentary BOYS STATE as the Opening Night Film of NFF NOW: AT HOME!
Boys State is an entertaining and revealing look at American democracy and political division, following a group of high school boys as they create a mock government at an annual civics program hosted by the American Legion in Austin, Texas. The film will be followed by a Q&A with directors Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss.
Special thanks to Apple and A24 for making this special presentation possible.
Note: Access is available to NFF NOW: AT HOME Passholders only, but the screening will take place on a different platform than the rest of the programming, and will only be available between 7:00-10:00PM ET. You must begin watching no later than 8:00PM ET to see the whole program. Special instructions will be sent to pass-holders. As with all NFF NOW: AT HOME programming, capacity is limited and you must be based in the US in order to access the film.
