Johnny and Carol Williams robbed 56 banks together, the longest consecutive string of unsolved bank robberies in FBI history. When they were finally caught in 1994, Carol got twenty years and Johnny got life. They remained married even after Carol was released and Johnny was still in prison. Then, in 2021, Johnny is released. Caring for a dying aunt in Dallas, Carol must decide if she will leave Texas to reunite with her freed husband. As a couple remember their shared past, their memories diverge and Carol must reckon with the husband she once thought she knew, and the chance at a new, independent future.
