Director Grace Bartlett in attendance.
In the early days of 2020, director Grace Bartlett (NFF Teen View 2015-2017 alum) set out to capture the story of her family’s over 175-year-old farm on Nantucket. She hoped to capture a picture of the farm she knew as a child before it disappeared—and then a pandemic happened. What followed was a film that chronicles three generations of Bartletts as they wrestle with what the farm means to them and how far they are willing to go in the face of uncertainty. As sustainability becomes increasingly important and generational family businesses increasingly rare, this documentary discusses how difficult it can be to create something that lasts.
