Fresh out of college, 22-year-old Andrew (Cooper Raiff) finds himself back home with his disjointed family in New Jersey. Tasked with chaperoning little brother David (Evan Assante) to a bat mitzvah, Andrew stumbles upon the perfect side hustle as a professional party planner. When he strikes up a conversation with Lola (Vanessa Burghardt), a reticent partygoer who is autistic, he catches the attention of her young mom, Domino (Dakota Johnson). Soon, Andrew begins to fall for the vulnerable but complicated Domino and discovers a future that he wants—even if it might not be his own.
