2017 All-Star Comedy Roundtable.

Since 2009, Ben Stiller has brought together some of his favorite writers, directors and performers for the All-Star Comedy Roundtable. After a brief hiatus NFF is happy bring back this event for it's seventh edition with a twist, with some of comedy’s funniest and brightest female stars engaging in an insightful, inspiring, and hilarious conversation about their big breaks and what they have in store.

2017 Host: SASHEER ZAMATA

Sasheer Zamata is a comedian, actress, writer, presenter, and host. Most recently a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live, she has also appeared on TBS's People of EarthTransparentInside Amy SchumerBojack Horseman, and SeeSo's Night Train with Wyatt Cenac. She has voiced the roles of Maisie in Nickelodeon's Albert, and Sally in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Zamata has appeared in the films Yoga HosersSleight, and Netflix's Deidra & Laney Rob a Train. She also serves as ACLU's Celebrity Ambassador for Women's Rights. Her one-hour standup comedy special, Pizza Mind, is available on Seeso.

MIKE BIRBIGLIA

 

Mike Birbiglia is a comedian and storyteller who has performed in front of audiences worldwide, from the Sydney Opera House to Carnegie Hall. His most recent shows, My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend and Thank God for Jokes, were both filmed for Netflix. Mike has released four albums for Comedy Central Records, including My Secret Public Journal Live, which was named one of the “Best Comedy Albums of the Decade” by The Onion AV Club. In addition to performing live, Birbiglia is an author and filmmaker who wrote, directed, and starred in the acclaimed films Sleepwalk with Me and Don’t Think Twice. His book, Sleepwalk With Me and Other Painfully True Stories, was a New York Times bestseller and a finalist for the Thurber Prize For American Humor. As an actor, Birbiglia has appeared on Orange is the New Black, Inside Amy Schumer, and Girls as well as in the films Trainwreck, The Fault in Our Stars, and Popstar

 


 

WHITNEY CUMMINGS

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles based comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. She is best known for creating and starring in the NBC series Whitney, Cummings has also co-created and co-wrote the Emmy nominated CBS comedy series 2 Broke Girls along with Michael Patrick King. Just this summer she wrapped her half hour pilot titled A Lot, which is based on the book Are Men Necessary? When Sexes Collide by Maureen Dowd. Cummings wrote, produced and starred in this comedic portrait of modern relationships and human nature. Additional, appearances in the series UndateableWorkacholicsMaron and the Netflix series The Ridiculous Six, have solidified her presence in comedy television. Cummings appeared regularly on E!’s Chelsea Lately, as well as Comedy Central’s Roast series. In film, she can be seen in such hits as Maid of Honor, StrikeJust Like Us, 3,2,1…Frankie Go Boom, The Wedding Ringer, and Warner Bros. latest film Unforgettable.

Her first one-hour stand up special, Money Shot, premiered on Comedy Central in August 2010 and was nominated for an American Comedy Award. Her second one-hour stand-up special, Whitney Cummings: I Love You, debuted on Comedy Central in June 2014. Her most recent stand-up special, I’m Your Girlfriend aired on HBO earlier last year. 


 

 

KRISTEN SCHAAL

Kristen Schaal can currently be seen starring in the Fox series, The Last Man On Earth opposite Will Forte. She can be seen in the upcoming films All Nighter (opposite JK Simmons and Emile Hirsch), Lost in Austin (opposite Linda Cardellini and Patrick Warburton), as well as Literally, Right Before Aaron (opposite Cobie Smulders and Justin Long).  Schaal recently had some scene-stealing scenes in Melissa McCarthy's The Boss, and A Walk in the Woods, starting Robert Redford and Nick Nolte, which premiered at Sundance in 2015. Schaal unique voice brings to life some memorable animated characters like Louise in the Fox's animated series Bob’s Burgers, Sarah Lynn in Netflix's BoJack Horseman, and recently won an Annie award for her voice in Gravity Falls

Other film and television credits include Toy Story 3Dinner for Schmucks, 30 Rock, the cult hit series, Flight of the Conchords, Mad Men, Modern Family, and her Comedy Central half-hour special, Live at the Fillmore, among others. Kristen appeared in The Coward at The Lincoln Center Theatre, and was awarded The Lucille Lortel Award for her performance.

 


BRIDGET EVERETT

Bridget Everett is a world-renowned cabaret artist and comedian. Everett’s film, theater, and television credits include Inside Amy Schumer, 2 Broke Girls, Sex and the City, Trainwreck, Girls, and the Off-Broadway smash Rock Bottom. Her live television special Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder premiered on Comedy Central, and she can also be seen on the hit Netflix show Lady Dynamite.  She is the star of the upcoming film Little Evil and the NFF programmed films Fun Mom Dinner and Patti Cake$. (See page 5.) She is the co-creator, co-writer, and star of the new Amazon series Love You More, premiering this fall.
